Sustainability & Education

Today there's no doubt that we have to change, we have to make a change. But, as sometimes happens, we are too much concentrated in technical aspects, in numbers, charts and timetables, in formulas, equations and resolutions, rather than the solution itself, the real thing, the practical side. We have to act more and talk less.
And one of the aspects of sustainability is to give better conditions to future generations, and for that we can start to give them some conditions. It's commons sense that sustainability is needed, in different points of view, with different names, but needed. So what's the best way to reach the younger generations, the one that are growing and that will have a future after ours? No, it's not through videogames, consoles, toys, food or others. It's through education.
Some studies already tell us that people that have better and higher education are more likely to understand and get involved in sustainability issues, are more sensible and aware to important issues like climate changes, environment and sustainable development. So, if the best way to transmit this kind of informations to the younger and future generations is through schools, colleges and universities. As they grow that start to learn and having access to global issues, economic, environmental and social aspects of sustainability, and when they get to adult age they are a lot more prepared and aware, and certainly more active in this kind of issues.
With this approach we can give access to information to a broader number of future leaders, workers and activists, a greater number of people with the right and better tools to make the change to a better future.
