Sustainability is certainly an emerging theme and increasingly in vogue. Already in the lexicon of the business world, already appears in the discourse of governments, to already have some household applications. But no doubt that in addition there is still a long way to go, there are several - if not many - obstacles in that path.
Take, for example, the case of the Copenhagen Summit, last December. In the months before the summit we all were aware of difficulties, obstacles, misunderstandings, even before the discussion itself. That is, we have the summit with preconceived ideas of issues that would not be discussed or being worked on but not going very far with them. In conclusion, the world does not understand, and although it has agreed to the summit as a set of good intentions when it came to blows in fact, these intentions have not gone to this. You look at the countries that emit more CO2 to declare that they are concerned about the situation, but in the end, turn out to set emission limits to be scraped to insignificance.
We can pick other examples to different situations with different dimensions but to illustrate the way these obstacles. For example, for the home level, a family that plans to install solar panels on their homes, but in the end comes to the conclusion that they’re not going to put it because is "ugly" to install a series of dark panels on the roof of the house. Or the couple who likes to tell friends who recycle at home, but do not have the patience to separate the trash to put some rubbish in the eco-point.
Another major obstacle is the lack, or superficial knowledge. Generally speaking, there is still a widespread ignorance of this issue and its actual impact on society and the economy. Makes development slower, less comprehensive and with less impact. Not enough to buy a product that is "green" or being a business-friendly environment. This introduces us to a question too important and devious, so-called "Greenwashing". This term is used to describe practices falsely associated with environmental issues and sustainable bottom. For example, companies that spend more time and money on advertising practices "environmentally friendly" than the practice itself, a car that by consuming less is more environmentally friendly.
In conclusion, it depends on us, as individuals, as family, as a company, as a country, making sustainable development a common practice. In essence, sustainability is a sign of progress but also of intelligence, and therefore should be designed, planned and executed with intelligence. As this article is thought and written in a sustainable manner, with a view to sustainable development, with future prospects, too many practices of everyday life can now be conducted in that same direction.
